Hello from Lucy and Maya That's me in the picture with my lovely Appaloosa mare; Maya.  She has just turned 5 and we have just started riding hacking out together.  I hope that we have many fun and adventerous years ahead of us! I have been making horse hair jewellery for a while now and I'm in love with the craft!  My horsey friends were all very supportive in the beginning when I was hacking away at thier pony's tails; Maya's still hasn't grown all the way back but I am grateful for the number of bracelets I managed to make and am often embarassed when she decides to have a mad 5 minutes around the field and holds her scraggily tail in the air... ooops. Horse hair is such a versitile product and I am constantly on the look out for new ideas.  If you join my facebook page (www.facebook.com/ponytailsjewellery) you will be updated when I design a new product on there first. Another note:

Losing a horse is difficult, no person could ever make you feel the range of emotions a horse can in a space of about 5 minutes.  They literally do take us on a wild ride through some of the happiest, funniest and even scariest times of our lives.  I think this is one of the reasons wer love them so much.
